1. Introduction
The Slaughterhouse Management Web Application (“the Platform”) is owned and managed by
the relevant agricultural authorities. It is a digital ecosystem designed to manage
slaughterhouse operations, livestock traceability, and meat safety.
By creating an account or using our services, you (“User”) agree to these Terms
of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
Our Mission
- Promote professionalism in slaughterhouse operations.
- Enable traceability of livestock and meat products.
- Strengthen food safety and public health standards.
- Digitally transform slaughterhouse management for transparency.
2. User Accounts & Roles
a. Slaughterhouse Manager
- Only licensed slaughterhouse managers or administrators may register.
- Details provided are verified with relevant authorities.
- Verified slaughterhouse details are visible to the public for transparency.
- False credentials or misrepresentation may lead to suspension.
b. Slaughterhouse Inspector
- Inspectors can conduct meat inspections and certify products.
- Must provide valid inspection credentials.
- Inspection records are maintained for traceability.
c. Slaughterhouse Attendant
- Attendants manage daily slaughterhouse operations.
- Responsible for recording livestock entries and exits.
- Must maintain accurate operational records.
3. Information We Collect
- Slaughterhouse Name, Location, License Number.
- Staff Details: Name, Employment Number, Designation.
- Livestock Records: Species, Quantity, Origin.
- Meat Production Records: Quantity, Quality Grades.
- Device information: IP address, browser type, login activity.
4. Purpose of Data Use
- Verification of slaughterhouse licenses.
- Traceability of livestock and meat products.
- Facilitating inspections and quality control.
- Compliance with food safety laws and regulations.
- Improvement and analytics of operations.
- Disease surveillance and public health monitoring.
5. Data Sharing & Disclosure
- Slaughterhouse details shared with regulatory authorities.
- Meat traceability data may be shared with public health agencies.
- No personal data sold or rented.
- Shared only when legally required.
6. Data Protection & Security
- Data is encrypted in servers and protected via HTTPS.
- Sensitive identifiers are encrypted.
- Regular security audits are conducted.
- Users notified within 72 hours in case of a breach.
7. User Responsibilities & Conduct
- No false or misleading information.
- No impersonation or unauthorized access.
- No malware, abuse, harassment, or discrimination.
- Violations may result in account termination.
8. Service Availability & Limitations
- 24/7 availability is not guaranteed.
- Features may be released in phases.
- Usage limits may apply to prevent overload.
9. Intellectual Property
- Platform contents belong to the relevant authorities.
- No copying, reselling, or reverse-engineering allowed.
- User-generated content remains user property.
10. Children’s Data
- Platform intended for users aged 18 and above.
- Accounts registered by minors may be terminated.
11. Termination of Accounts
- Accounts may be terminated for fraud, expired licenses, or misconduct.
- Users may appeal within 30 days.
12. Limitation of Liability
- The platform only facilitates management operations.
- The authorities are not liable for operational errors or product outcomes.
- Users should independently verify information.
13. Dispute Resolution
- Handled under the Kenya Arbitration Act (1995), Nairobi.
- Disputes must be raised within 12 months.
14. Changes to Terms & Privacy Policy
- Changes may be made periodically.
- Users notified of significant updates.
- Continued use means acceptance.
